BIOPTRON Light Therapy

What is Bioptron Light Therapy?
Bioptron Light Therapy ("BPL") is a worldwide patented medical light therapy system with full EU medical approval. It is used with great success in various hospitals and clinics throughout the world to support the regenerative and rebalancing capacities of the body and therefore to help the body release its own healing potential.
BPL has a proven medical history of over 20 years and in Europe ranks as one of the foremost treatments for burns, wound healing, skin problems and in the treatment of sport injuries.
BPL uses the full colour spectrum of natural daylight (with no ultraviolet rays), it is completely safe, non invasive and has no side effects. Extensive research has shown that light in this form provides a strong and direct stimulus for the regenerative processes.
How does BPL work?
The human body is entirely composed of cells. Light emitted by the BPL lamp exerts a direct influence on weakened tissue and blood cells. It uses an aspect of light that is similar to part of the spectrum produced by the sun and so uses natural processes as part of the healing. The most important aspect of the BPL is the polarisation of the emitted light. Polarised light can be thought of as charged light because of the effects it elicits on a living cell within the body. BPL boosts the immune system, strengthens the circulation and cleans the blood, therefore a number of conditions can be helped during a single session.
What conditions can BPL treat?
BPL has been used successfully to treat the following:
| Eczema, rosacea, acne and psoriasis Wrinkles, fine lines Pigmentation and scar reduction |
Arthritis, rheumatism, gout Burns and scalds Poor circulation |
Restless Leg Syndrome Leg ulcers, varicose veins and thread veins Sinusitis and blocked airways Sports injuries |
During the BPL Treatment
The treatment duration is specific to each client; during the treatment you will feel a gentle warm heat coming from the light as it works on the skin. As there is no UV emission from the light there is no tanning or burning of the skin during treatment.
Case Study
Juliette Scarfe – (Founder) Bare Skin Beauty
In 2006, I sustained a serious eye injury while horse riding; a branch whipped my face resulting in tearing the epithelium of my left eye. I underwent two painful operations and daily medical treatment. I was told that my eye would never fully recover and permanent damage had been done to my tear ducts, as a result I would be dependent on medication for the rest of my life. I was extremely motivated to find a holistic solution to my predicament, and after researching the options available I began a course of BPL with Ferenc. After three sessions of Light Therapy I no longer felt the excruciating pain when waking and the "dried out" feeling my eyes had all day, which affected my vision and concentration. After ten sessions I returned to my consultant who (after a close inspection of my eye) declared my recovery to be nothing short of miraculous. Three years on, my eye is as healthy and strong as it was before the accident and I feel so strongly about the healing and regenerative power of Light Therapy that I use it in my anti-aging treatments www.bareskin-beauty.co.uk/treatments.

Light is the main energy source of all entities on earth; the function of our entire metabolism is based on light. Light supplies natural electro magnetic energy to the cellular system - just like the sun. When cells receive light that has no UV or infa red rays they are energised with ATP which is the fuel of every cell. Vibrating atoms and molecules come together to make a cell, which are the most fundamental building blocks of our bodies, research indicates that a healthy cell vibrates at approximately 635 nanometers (billionth of a metre). When a cell is unhealthy its vibration will alter and cells lose the ability to communicate. By exposing the cells to the correct vibration it is possible to return the cells to a health state once more.
All light is measured as vibrations, we can see light with the naked eye but we can only see it as colour through a prism or a rainbow. Each colour of the rainbow has a different vibration or wavelength and each wavelength is measured in nanometres.
History of BPL
In 1981 a Hungarian research team, including the eminent biophysicist Marta Fenyo, created a light source that was originally based on laser therapy but worked with a combination of visible light and infrared. The team considered the polarization of light as an important parameter. Based on this technology the BPL system was created.
It was as long ago as 1903 when scientists first realised that light could be used for treatment. The use of light therapy in medicine, known as photo medicine, has a long history. Photo medicine can be traced as far back as ancient Egypt, where they used sunlight therapy; both the Greeks and the Romans continued this form of healing. During the 1960's it was further discovered that the polarisation of light helps to regulate cell membrane activity.
Polarized lights means that the waves oscillate in parallel planes rather than waves. The lights utilises polychromatic light, which contains multi wavelength (colours). This results in a low and constant transmission of energy to the cells. Polychromatic light has a low density and therefore acts in a natural way. This quantity of energy allows the light to stimulate different biological processes within the cells. Biostimulation re-activates the chromophores (enzymes) within the endothelium allowing the ells to re-energise naturally, allowing health cell function to occur.
